Features:
This excellently designed home has been designed to maximize its spectacular views over Port Phillip Bay, as well as utilize light to energy efficiency. The external walls are a combination of Blue Onyx face bricks & 75mm rendered foam. An expansive use of Merbau for fascias & decks gives a warm natural timber look to the outside. All windows are double glazed & treated to maintain maximum efficiency. Entry is on the upper level & upon entry you are greeted with an expanse of polished timber floor boards and wide entrance hall. The hall leads to a massive open living area which includes kitchen & dining. The tall raked ceiling has 5 large exposed, recycled Ironbark timber beams which came from the St. Kilda Pier. 2 sets of bi-fold doors open onto the large deck which offers breath taking views. The upper floor also consists of the master bedroom with a walk-in robe & ensuite. A powder room & cloak cupboard as well. A polished timber staircase with concealed strings leads to the lower floor. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, laundry, bathroom & large rumpus room with kitchenette that overlooks the bay. The home has reverse cycle air conditioning & boasts a solar hot water unit. The overall feel & use of space in this home is an absolute credit to the Architect, Scotty Pizzey. |
