Builders
After completing a home in Main Ridge early 1999, we were
prompted to enter it in the 1999 Housing Industry Association
Awards. Not having entered before, and only had our company
up and running for 2 years, we decided to take the advice.
Fortunately for us the home won us “Best
Custom Built Home between $250,000 and $350,000”.
This home was designed by Graham Jones Design and featured
in “Luxury Home Design” magazine.
Our next entry in the HIA awards was in the year 2000. Although
nominated, we didn’t win our category, however the home
featured in "Luxury Home Design" magazine, as well
as being used for a "Killing Heidi" (rock band)
video clip in May 2001. This home was also a Graham Jones
Design and also featured in "Luxury Home Design"
magazine.
In 2001 we were proud to accept another HIA award. This time
for "Finalist – Best Custom Built Homes
to $200,000". This beautiful home was partly
designed by us, and it was a credit to have achieved a place.
Success again in 2003. We were proud to be the "Winner
- Best Custom Built Home between $200,000 and $350,000" for our uniquely designed glamorous home in Mt Martha. To
top off our achievement, we designed the majority of this
home. This home was also featured in "Contemporary Home
Design" magazine and was chosen to feature on the front
page of a glossy brochure produced by a prominent brick company.
We thought that the home we entered in the 2004 HIA Awards
was sure to be a winner. Uniquely designed by David Dennis,
this Portsea home is well known (by local builders and estate
agents) and much spoken about for its design and absolute
quality. Although we didn’t win our category, we did
manage "Runner up – Best Custom Built
Home between $500,000 and $1 million dollars".
This home also featured in "Monument" magazine.
It is extremely hard to get a home featured in this magazine.
We are proud to work with Graham Jones Design.
Some of the houses that we have built (not mentioned above)
have won various design awards by Graham, as well as being
featured in magazines. Graham Jones Design is one of the highest
award winners in Victoria.
A home completed by us in Middle Cresent Brighton featured
a uniquely designed and constructed swimming pool. The pool
built by "Elite Pools", was awarded "Year
2000 Pool of the Year", by the prominent
magazine "Poolside Magazine".
Craig McPhan
During my four-year apprenticeship I received "Apprentice
of the year," for three years. In my final
year I was nominated to complete in a National Work Skills
competition held at the Melbourne Showground's. I achieved
runner up and just missed out on going to Japan to compete.
